Dr. Darcy Forber

DVM
local veterinarian

Dr. Darcy Forber graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1991 and earned a BSBA in International Business and then attended St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate in 2011. Darcy is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) through the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL and is currently working towards her CVH in herbal medication. Her special interests are internal medicine, nutrition, and alternative modalities, including acupuncture, herbology, and food therapies.

Dr. Forber was born and raised in Boardman, Ohio, and after spending several years in banking and finance, Darcy decided to pursue her passion for animals. Prior to veterinary school, Darcy spent many years volunteering at the Central Brevard Humane Society. She became an integral member of the Board of Directors in 2002, and later became the Vice President of this organization from 2003-2005. She assisted in the development and organization of several key fundraising and awareness events, which later helped transition this facility to one of Brevard’s most prominent no-kill shelters. After spending several years as a Board Member, volunteer and an advocate for animals, Darcy decided to pursue her passion for animals further and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

In her spare time, Darcy enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Jim and their 2 cats, Suni (a Blue Point Himalayan) and Bruno (a brown Tabby). She enjoys rowing, running, and yoga, and is an avid New York Rangers hockey fan.
