At Viera East Veterinary Center we strive to provide a complete and thorough set
of services for your pet. We are continuosly researching the latest medical technologies
and adding to our list of services to ensure the best possible care for your pet. Below,
you will find a list of some of the services that we currently provide.
- Annual Exams: Includes a complete physical exam, laboratory testing,
appropriate vaccinations, and wellness profiles.
- Anesthesia: State of the art anesthetic monitoring, which includes
EKG, blood pressure monitoring, oxygen monitoring, capnography, and pulse rate.
- Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery: Our large surgical suite allows
us to perform not only routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, and declaws,
but also exploratory and orthopedic surgeries.
- Laboratory Testing: We rely on in-house and off-site laboratories
to ensure comprehensive analysis of blood, stool, urine, and biopsies.
- Progressive Dental Care: We offer preventative dental care including
dental prophylaxis, tooth extraction, tooth restoration, and oral surgery. Additionally,
we offer intraoral digital radiographs for early detection of problems not visual to the eye.
- Radiology: Our on-site x-ray machine provides high quality radiographs
and allows immediate images of the chest and abdomen in addition to musculoskeletal abnormalities.
- Digital Ultrasound: Ultrasound allows high quality, noninvasive imaging
of the abdomen and chest. This facilitates accurate diagnosis of many diseases and conditions including heart
disease, kidney disease, liver disease, pancreatitis, and early pregnancy detection.
- Pharmacy: We provide a full service in-house pharmacy for the convenience
of you and your pet.
- Rehabilitation: We offer physical rehabilitation medicine for orthopedic,
surgical and neurologic conditions. Other applications include sports medicine, conditioning and weight management. Our certified therapists, with use of therapeutic laser and ultrasound, E-stim, and manual therapies will create a therapeutic exercise program for any patient in need.
- Geriatric Care: Early diagnosis and prevention of problems is crucial to the health
of all pets, but especially our geriatric patients. We offer several packages geared towards
our geriatric patients, which evaluate baseline blood levels, urinalysis, and cardiac status.
- Video Otoscopy: Our video otoscopic equipment allows us to better evaluate, treat and document various ear diseases. It also allows the client to see improvement after treatment.
- Penn Hip Certification: This certification is a method used in the early detection
and prediction of hip dysplasia, a common and painful genetic disorder that affects a large percentage
of the pet population.
- Boarding: We have separate indoor boarding facilities for cats and dogs of all sizes.
Our private fenced in play area allows for individual relaxation and exercise for your pet.
